Teachers from Lebanon Take Quranic Course in Karbala

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A group of Quran teachers from Lebanon are attending an educational program in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq.

The Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine has organized the program, which will run for five days, the website of the Astan reported.

It is aimed at enhancing the level of the teachers’ Quranic skills.

The participants are from the Astan’s Dar-ol-Quran branch in Lebanon, according to Montazar al-Mansouri, an official with the Astan.

They teach the Quran in eight villages and towns in Southern Lebanon, he noted.

Al-Mansouri said 20 male and 20 female Quran teachers are taking part in the educational program, which is underway in morning and afternoon sessions at Sayyid al-Shuhada building of the Astan.

They receive lessons on Quran memorization methods by Sheikh Madhi al-Ameri, ways for learning and reviewing the verses by Mohammad Baqer al-Mansouri and Lahn and Tajweed by Ali Aboud al-Taei.
